Rare Pair of Signed 18th Century Child's Bergeres

An important pair of period child's bergere chairs, of walnut; each oval padded backrest in gadrooned frame, outswept arms with padded elbow rests on reeded splayed terminals, loose drop-in cushion on bowed seatrail carved with cross-hatched motif, raised on round fluted tapering legs headed with framed flowerhead. The underside of each frame stamped "Nadal-Laine," for J. Nadal-Laine, a purveyor of distinguished furniture during the reign of Louis XVI.
CONDITION: Very good antique condition. Wear/marks to legs demonstrated in photos. Vintage upholstery shows wear.
