Pair of Louis XVI armchairs, painted and parcel gilt, each hand-carved frame having a shield-shaped padded backrest, surmounted by pierced ribbon crest, flanked by ionic capital-headed stiles, adorned by palm finials, downswept stop-fluted arms and padded elbow rests, supported by baluster-form terminals, its crown seat on bowed, guilloche-carved rail, raised on round, fluted, tapering legs, ending in touipe feet. Upholstered in antique abusson tapestry.
